Refund Policy

Igljewels.com offers a very transparent and simple 10 Days Return & Replacements policy.

Please keep in mind that our return policy at Igljewels.com is entirely dependent on the item/jewellery piece/gemstone that is being purchased. Below are the different types:

Loose gemstones, Jewelry, “Ready to be Shipped” pieces

Custom, “Made to Order” pieces

Return Policy for Loose Gemstones, Jewelry, “Ready to be Shipped” Items: 

If you fulfil the below-mentioned requirements, you can return a loose gemstone for a full refund of the money you paid for it within 10 days. Provided during the time you are in the possession of the piece, you are entirely responsible for its value and its care. After which we will be able to refund the amount.

Conditions to be eligible for the Returns & Replacement Policy:

Item(s) must be returned in their original, unused, undamaged & unchanged condition

All replacements are subject to the International Gems Lapidary team’s examination and approval

Damages caused by negligence or improper use are not covered by our Returns and Replacement Policy

Original/Copy of Invoice, packaging, documentation, certifications, discount coupons, and other items should be returned with the product

Important Notes:

The item will not be eligible for a full refund if it has been altered in any manner, such as chipped/nicked, damaged, set, scratched, or has a different weight. The Final Refund call will be at the sole discretion of the International Gems Lapidary Team.

Shipping Charges, VAT, and duties are not refundable.

Return Shipment is at the customer’s cost.

Payment Gateway charges, if applicable, will not be refunded. These are billed directly by the payment gateway and are not refunded.

Additionally, any additional lab certificate that may have been ordered apart from the free one along with the gemstone shall not be refunded in the return payment.

Refunds will take 7-10 business days to process (from the receiving date of the product at our address).

Return Policy for Custom, “Made to Order” Items: 

Any custom-made (made-to-order) item (rings, pendants, bracelets, etc.) usually cannot be returned under the returns policy. However, subject to the conditions mentioned below, if you place a return request within 10 (Ten) days of delivery, you have two alternatives. The alternatives are as follows:

You can seek a Store Credit worth 80 percent of your Invoice Value (For future purchases on our website)

Or,

You can seek a Refund worth 60% of your Invoice Value.

Note: 

1. It will be the customer’s responsibility to ask for any modification in the return policy if an item has been manufactured with special customization (each circumstance will have reserved rights) since it will not fit our regular returns policy.

Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel your jewellery order, International Gems Lapidary will deduct making charges of 25% of the total purchase price.

If your jewellery order cost is more than 25% of your purchase and you cancel your order, International Gems Lapidary will deduct the jewellery costs.

If you cancel your order after opting for paid certification, International Gems Lapidary will deduct the certification cost.

Disclaimer: In case of any dispute, the dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts at Jammu.

What time does the 10-day return period begin and end?

The 10-day timeframe begins the day the item is signed and received from one of our shipping partners. The ten-day return period expires exactly ten days (240 hours) after the item is signed for. In any case, if you want a time extension, please contact our customer service staff, who will be happy to assist you.

I bought 2 loose gemstones, one of which I like, and I’d want to return the other.

Yes, you can return the second gemstone within the 10-day timeframe under our no-questions-asked return policy on loose gemstones with a full refund.

I misplaced the lab certificate as well as the product’s original packing. Is it still possible for me to return the loose gemstone?

We normally require the whole original product certificate, invoices, documentation, lab certifications, packaging, documentation, discount coupons, and other items that may have been included with the loose gemstone. You are not qualified for the 100% Money Back Guarantee if any of these things are missing. You may, however, be eligible for a Full or Partial Replacement/Store Credit. Please contact our customer service staff with the exact scenario so that we can assist you.

Can I return a gemstone that I purchased and got studded in a ring?

Our Return policy specifically mentions any custom-made (made-to-order) item (rings, pendants, bracelets, etc.) usually cannot be returned under the returns policy. However, if you place a return request within 10 (Ten) days of delivery, you have two alternatives. The alternatives are as follows:

I am returning a loose gemstone. How should I send it?

Please follow these instructions if you are returning or changing a gemstone:

– Get a Return Authorization from Customer Support.

– Keep any original items that came with the gemstone, such as the Original Product Certificate, Original/Copy of Invoice, packing, paperwork, lab certifications, discount coupons, and so on.

– Carefully pack the things and send them exclusively through a reputable courier with package insurance. Take the tracking information from the courier and send it to us. Our address may be found by clicking here. Contact Us 

– We suggest and recommend that you return the product through your local DTDC branch using the ‘DTDC Plus’s service. This service guarantees priority Next Business Day (NBD) delivery in all metros and significant cities, reducing the chance of delays and misplacement of goods or theft

– Ensure your selected courier service provider accepts jewellery and astrological items completely, taking into account their worth and insurance.

– Please remember that if you receive a damaged gemstone, you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving it because we need to file a claim with the insurance company to be able to return the defective item. It’s important and suggested to record a full unpacking video of the gemstone as soon as you receive it and open it.

– Please remember that we won’t be responsible or liable if the damage is informed to us by later than 48 Hours. 

Refunds will be entertained only if the customer has met the following conditions:

a) For proper verification, the customer must present the original bill, original certificate, and original gemstone

b) All of above said items must be sent to the company’s address in a sealed container with the customer’s signature on the seal.

c) The customer must return the product in its original condition, which means that if a loose gemstone was purchased, the loose gemstone must be returned, and if a jewellery studded gemstone was purchased, the same must be returned intact with the jewellery and no efforts should have been made to open the same.

If the product is not verified /authenticated or is not in proper condition or appears to be broken/damaged or any other reason given by the company, whatsoever, it shall not be accepted or considered for the refund

In the event of any dispute regarding the genuineness of the Gemstone after its purchase from the company, the same shall be got tested by the company from its Government Approved and Accredited Laboratory (such as IGI, IDT) and the report of the said Laboratory in this regard shall be final and the customer shall not dispute its report and shall not insist on having the Gemstone tested from any other Laboratory.

That applicable taxes, labour charges, wastage, bank charges, credit card charges, appraisal charges, shipping and insurance charges on the original purchase are non-refundable and will be deducted when considering the Gemstone for refund in accordance with the policy outlined above.

No further communication shall be entertained in case of missing original invoice and certificates. This rule is mandatory and the Company shall not be able to do anything in this regard due to laws and policies.

No complaint shall be entertained and/or lodged in contravention to the process/procedure laid down herein above.

In case of any dispute, the decision of the company shall be final.
